โAsk yourself what you can do with minutes, not hours.โ
We like to think we need long stretches of uninterrupted time to get anything done. But Iโve noticed that mindset just keeps me from starting.
I catch myself waiting for a free morning, a quiet weekend, or some perfect block of time that never comes ๐ซ
But progress doesnโt need perfect conditions. It happens quietly in the small, in-between moments.
So instead of saying โIโll do it when I have more time,โ try asking:
What can I chip away at right now?
What could I do with fifteen minutes?
Fifteen minutes is enough to jot down ideas, outline a paragraph, start a project, or even squeeze in a quick workout. And once you get going, fifteen minutes often turns into thirty.
Iโve been trying this while grading assignments for my students. Instead of tackling all 25 at once, Iโll grade five here and there. It's made the task feel less daunting.

Whatโs something you can knock out in 15 minutes today?
Weโre all juggling a lot. If you have the opportunity (and discipline!) for long, focused work sessions, thatโs great โ use them. But donโt underestimate whatโs possible in the small moments.
Maybe itโs not about finding more time, but reclaiming the time we already have.
โ โIn 1995, NBA coach Erik Spoelstra worked for the Miami Heat, but as a video coordinator โ a position that was only supposed to last the summer. He stayed, learned every part of the organization, and worked his way up to head coach in 2008.
He's since won two NBA championships, made multiple Finals appearances, and earned a reputation as one of the most respected coaches in the league.
And now, heโs just been announced as the head coach of Team USA, set to lead the squad at the 2027 FIBA World Cup and the 2028 Olympics.

โ SKIMS is at it again, pushing boundaries with their latest release ๐ read more at your own risk โ you might think it's NSFW! (Oh, and it sold out)
Instead, letโs throw it back to 2019. โ
Before SKIMS became a $4B brand, it was called Kimono Intimates. Launched to offer inclusive, skin-tone-friendly shapewear, the name sparked immediate backlash โ โkimonoโ is a traditional Japanese garment, and critics called it out the cultural appropriation (#KimOhNo). โ
Kim Kardashian listened to the feedback and pivoted to SKIMS, a name inspired by how the pieces โskimโ and flatter the body.
Itโs a free training, certification, and job placement initiative where participants can learn carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and more.
